Hi guys, today I have been playing with a couple of Chinese Android tablets and Android TV devices. The line up consisted of the Pipo S1 Pro a 1GB/8GB Quad core 7" tablet from popular chinese manufacturer Pipo. As well as the Hyundai T7S another 7" Quad Core 2GB/8GB Tablet. And two Android TV stick devices the UG007 a 1GB/8GB Dual Core android TV Stick that was surprisingly very good. And finally the RKM 802IV a 2GB/8GB Quad Core Android TV stick that Im currently using to write this article and attempting to use as a PC alternative! more on that later....
So first off the tablets
Starting with the Hyundai T7s this is available for around £89 delivered from Banggood.com. This is quite an impressive tablet and like all Chinese tabs it requires a little setting up to get it to run at its best. the specs are really good, it has Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi b/g/n, USB OTG, HDMI (Mini), 5 Point touch, Quad Core (1.6Ghz), 2GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB Storage! I found it works best with a modified Spanish ROM. and you MUST install some sort of CPU throttle control other wise you battery will not last more than a couple of hours, and even in standby you may not get more than 4 hours! But with a decent CPU controll program installed like 360 Battery saver or similar you can run the tablet for around 4-6 hours and as long as you have the option of WIFI of during sleep enabled you will not loose any battery whilst in standby! The cameras aren't great but usable the rear camera is auto focus but operates slow. It also has a small plastic film on the lense that most people forget to remove but once removed the picture quality is dramatically improved! This tablet has a Quad GPU (Mali 400) and performs well for its price range. HD quality films in 1080P are displayed correctly and play with full frame rate. The build quality is quite good but you do get the odd creak as you feel around the case but for just under £90 I highly recomend it! infact this is the tablet I now own and use daily!

Next up we have the Pipo S1 Pro another 7" Tablet and Pipo is a very popular brand in China, The tablet is Quad Core (1.6Ghz) and also has A Quad GPU (Mali 400) This is a super budget tablet you get all the important stuff and everything else is just cut out! so NO Bluetooth, GPS, and the RAM is only 1GB along with 8GB storage. Having said that this tablet is around £66! it has HDMI, WiFi b,g,n as well as USB OTG. For the price I havent seen a better tablet in terms of speed & build quality. XBMC works flawlessly, The setup works straight out of the box, This is the best tablet you can buy for under £70!

And now for the Android STICKS!
If your unsure as to what an Android stick actually is its basically a dongle you plug into your TV's HDMI slot and using a keyboard/mouse you have a big android tablet without a touch screen! Im currently using the RKM 802IV 2GB/8GB with a Sumvision Rio wireless keyboard and its quite impressive!
The UG007 a Dual core (1.6Ghz) 1GB/8GB Device with quad core mali 400 GPU and features Bluetooth, Wifi b,g,n. This is an excellent device for the money around £31 and when Paired with a Sumvision Rio wireless keyboard/track ball is a pleasure to use. XBMC works great especially the Ouyu Version with the libstagefright hardware decoding option this plays 720p content just under full framerate but for the price you cannot go wrong! build quality is not too bad but be careful with the USB conectors as they can come loose if you plug and unplug the device often! Better to plug the USB lead in and keep it in!

And the current favorite RKM MK802iV this is a 2GB/8GB Quad core (1.8Ghz) and seems well built. These will play 1080p movies in XBMC no problem. And also feature Bluetooth, Wifi b,g,n These are available for around £50 on banggood and i my current favorite device, good wifi range, As with the UG007 they have one USB Host, 1x USB OTG, and micro SD card slot as well as the Mali 400 Quad core GPU! This unit really benefits from the 2GB ram making the device snappy and suitable for games as well as full HD video.
